Steve TenHoor has been in technology for more than three decades, long enough to have met data in every size, from Oracle and SQL Server down to Access, CSV files and the occasional heroic Excel sheet. He has built software, led development teams, and never quite gotten over his crush on Python, Jupyter, marimo, pandas and Polars. smaltworks is what happens when that turns into a question: why does exploring data need so much setup? His answer is small, fast and in the browser, on the machine you already have. Stay smalty.
